Terms of warranty

All our bikes are sold fully assembled but please only purchase our products if you have a good mechanical knowledge of how to maintain an off-road motorcycle, if you are not sure on how to carry out maintenance, please do not purchase. 

Due to the size and weight of these items they are covered by a replacement parts warranty only, if your machine develops a fault within the warranty period of 30 days from purchase receipt, you need to contact us and we will advise how to best rectify the problem and dispatch replacement parts, without charge providing the faulty parts are covered by the warranty.

Please note customers will be expected to fit the parts themselves, guidance will be available on technical issues.

Any customer that is not happy with the purchase of a bike has 14 days days to return the bike for a full refund of the bike. BUT once an off-road motorcycle has been used, we cannot offer a refund only replacement parts.

The Following parts are not covered by the warranty on this item.

• Drive Chains & Belts
• Fairings/ bodywork (unless damaged during delivery. Photos required within 24 hours of receipt)
• Wheelrims & spokes
• Clutches or Clutch springs
• Brake Cables, Disks Calipers and pads
• Exhaust Pipes
• Tyres, Wheels, valves and Inner Tubes
• Spark Plugs
• Throttle Cable

All our 2 stroke engines require the fuel to be mixed with a 2-stroke engine oil. The mix ratio needs to be 25:1 or 200ml to 5 litres of fuel & 2 stroke oil to be used must be Putolene Mx9 Failure to not using the correct oil & fuel mix ratio will damage the engine.

Riding an off-road motorcycle can be dangerous & children must be supervised at all times & must wear the correct safety gear such as helmet, boots & full body protective clothing.

Prior to every ride check over the off-road motorcycle for any loose nuts or bolts, throttle cable not loose, spokes not loose, tyres have the correct pressure, brake callipers adjusted correctly, emergency stop button working correctly.

Cooling-Off Period – Used Vehicles

If a customer exercises their statutory right to cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period after taking delivery of a used motorcycle or electric bike, the vehicle must be returned in substantially the same condition as supplied.

Where the vehicle has been ridden or otherwise used beyond what is necessary to inspect its nature, characteristics and functioning, Factory MX reserves the right to make a reasonable deduction from the refund to reflect any reduction in the vehicle’s value.

Such deductions may take into account, but are not limited to, additional mileage, tyre wear, battery charge cycles, cosmetic damage, signs of off-road use, missing accessories, cleaning, servicing, and the costs of preparing the vehicle for resale. Depending on the extent of the reduction in value, this deduction may be up to 30% of the purchase price, where this reflects the actual loss in value.

Damage to Returned Vehicles

If a vehicle is returned with damage that was not present at the time of delivery, Factory MX reserves the right to deduct from the refund an amount equal to the reasonable cost of repair and/or the reduction in the vehicle’s resale value. Where the damage is significant, or the vehicle cannot be resold as originally supplied, the deduction may be substantial and, depending on the extent of the loss, may exceed 50% of the purchase price where this reflects the actual reduction in value.

1.⁠ ⁠Warranty and Maintenance

Warranty Period: Standard 6-month manufacturer defect warranty.
What is Covered: Manufacturing defects, usually covering replacement parts, or a return of the vehicle for repair if a part cannot solve the issue.

What Voids the Warranty:
Water Ingress: Unless marked "Waterproof," submerging or saturating the bike in water will void the warranty.
Misuse/Track Use: Use on Motocross, Mini, or BMX tracks is prohibited unless otherwise stated.
Incorrect Assembly/Maintenance: Lack of proper care or incorrect assembly invalidates the warranty.
Modifications: Use of non-certified accessories, such as unauthorized chargers or electrical components.
Repair Timeframes: While Factory Mx aims to repair items within 72 hours, it can take up to 6 weeks if components need to be ordered.

2.⁠ ⁠Usage and Safety Regulations

Not a Toy: These are high-performance vehicles requiring coordination and skill, not traditional ride-on toys.
No Public Roads: Electric dirt bikes are for off-road use only and must never be ridden on public roads or pavements.
Safety Gear: CE/UKCA-certified safety gear (helmet, gloves, boots, protective clothing) must be worn at all times.
Supervision: Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Speed Settings: Many models include adjustable speed restrictors, allowing parents to limit speed (e.g., 5mph, 10mph, 15mph, 20mph & so on)

3. Returns and Refunds

Returns Period: Returns within 14 days, though used items may be subject to a reduction in refund value.
Condition: Items returned in a non-saleable condition may have their refund reduced, up to the full purchase price.
Return Costs: The cost of returning the item is generally borne by the customer & if a customer wants to return a non faulty unused bike then Factory Mx will deduct the original postage fee on refund.

4.⁠ ⁠Specific Product Requirements

Initial Charge: For new bikes, an initial up to 10-hour charge is recommended to boost battery life, even if the light turns green sooner.
Assembly: Some items are sold boxed and partially assembled. Factory Mx offers an assembly service ("Ready to Ride") that includes a test ride and inspection.
Rider Limits: Each model has a max rider weight (often 60kg-90kg) and recommended age/inside leg measurement.

Important Safety & Warranty Information

All of our electric balance bikes are designed and intended solely for off-road use on purpose-built asphalt pump tracks. They are not designed for use on motocross tracks, mini motocross tracks, dirt tracks, or rough off-road terrain. Failure to use the product as intended may result in damage and will void the manufacturer’s warranty.

Misuse / Track Use:

Use on motocross tracks, mini motocross tracks, dirt tracks, is strictly prohibited, unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer. These bikes are specifically designed for use on purpose-built asphalt pump tracks. Any damage resulting from misuse or use outside their intended purpose will void the warranty.

Restricted Use:

These products are not road legal and must never be used on public roads, pavements, cycle paths, or other public highways. They may only be ridden on private land with the landowner’s permission.

Safety:

Children must wear appropriate protective equipment at all times, including a properly fitted helmet, gloves, long sleeves, long trousers, and suitable footwear. Adult supervision is required whenever the bike is being used.
